WEEK 1 – RULE OF THIRDS AND CLOUDS

A Photo Journal exercise in 2018.   Intended to learn new things about taking photo’s and inspiring others.    And to just have some fun with photo’s.

WEEK 2 – STRAIGHT OUT OF THE CAMERA AND LANDSCAPE

 

Theme of the week= SOOC (Straight Out Of Camera) No edits!   And Landscape!   Now I’ll grant you this is typical Landscape that you might take a picture of but this was one  of the best games of the year!    BAMA vs GA    ALL SEC this year!    And right down to the wire to find a winner, plus 2 OT’s to get there.

AND THE TIDE ROLLED AND BECAME #1 IN THE NATION  26-23.

 

Coming up next week  Week 3 already:   The Inspiration for next week is Artistic:  Land    OH GOOD GRIEF – I struggled with a Landscape for last week and now it’s more landscape type pictures.   hahaha    And ‘something from the kitchen’.

WEEK 5 Historical Event

 

Waiting on the Eclipse of the Super Blue Blood Moon 2018

Not seen since 1866, we were up by 4am to witness the big event.

I was bundled up in my Arctic coat.   49 degrees and calm winds.

Listening to the Coyotes Yip and Howl in the distance.

WEEK 8   Sweeping Views

After Raymond ran the PHX Half Marathon (and came in 3rd in his age group), we drove to Fountain Hills, AZ  to walk around the lake.

The “Fountain” is turned on on the top of each hour and shoots 560′ if all 3 pumps are being used.    3300 acre lake.

Also walked around “The Great Fair of Fine Arts & Crafts”  (on the same grounds).  Over 500 booths.

 

 

WEEK 9   Still Life

And for 45 minutes we had a wonderful round of Snow Flurries while in Benson, AZ.  Not exactly still life, but certainly needs posting!

Fredericksburg, TX – What a surprise to get to see Jerry & Barbara and Randy and MaryK.
And, then we met up with Trey & Susan as we passed through Brenham, TX.

We were fixing the washer, so the dryer has been sitting here for a while and a couple of days ago I found myself using it as an extension of the Island.

Wonder if that means I’m going to start carrying a handmade folding table we got in The Yukon (inside the RV)?

IF you are ever near here, don’t miss this Zoo!   It’s a GREAT one built on the side of Cheyenne Mountain!

WEEK 41

We needed a couple of extra nights in Castle Rock, CO!   So we boondocked in Lowe’s!  GREAT place to boondock!

Near a brand new Outlet Mall that is Huge!   King Sooper’s Marketplace and Hobby Lobby were next to us!

The angle of the Rig was a bit rough 7% down in the front and tilted to the driver side.  NEXT time, we will find a little

more level ground.   BUT, again, it was a great place to boondock!!!

THE BAD:   We have a structural failure in our DRV.   Moving to D&S Welding Monday to begin the Fix!  (this is 1 of many)

The Shop we stayed in for the past week also provides the shelving inside the BLUE BELL Trucks.

These are only a few they were made before we left.   They’ve been making these for 30 years!

This is Trey and Susan “in action” – checking our weights, axles, and leveling after the rebuild of our frame!  In Cabela’s, Buda, TX.

We were able to spend a few hours enjoying breakfast with them, too!   Never enough time, but already looking foward

to the next time we meet.

get some pliers out to get it open again!     LOL

My 1st attempt at making the only Fruit Cake I eat.

Not the usual (dry, overcooked, taste like cardbooard)!

Moist and Yummy!     Turned out great!
