Like many of you, I enjoy using the colors and decorations we prefer. In the first month we had the RV I set out to make some changes. Thanks to Donna C, we spent numerous hours perusing local decorator fabric shops. Literally all of the sample scraps we brought back were “lost” when I hung them on the valances. So, not one to just settle for ‘any ole thing’, I kept looking. Quite by accident, I found the vibrant peacock feather fabric in JoAnn’s….and it is the ‘pop of color’ I was searching for. It was a very easy transformation, along with reusing the throw pillows and their trim that came with the RV.
I even recovered the dining room chairs with some leather I have in my ‘fabric stash’. Stripes Be Gone! Each of the projects we lots of fun and I’m happy to say after 2 years since the changes were made, I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m sure you understand when I say, “sometimes you just don’t know how long ideas will stay once they are complete”. 🙂
As the seasons change so does our decor. In the Spring, we have pale greens and blues. In the Fall, we change to Oranges, Purple and Burgandy with simply removing the Euro Shams. Around Christmas I have a White Afghan crocheted by my Mom. Next Christmas, I’ll try to remember to include a picture!
